Clearly, if intelligent design existed, humans would be designed differently, Francisco Ayala, president and chairman of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, told a Madison, Wisc. audience on Monday night, according to an article in the The Capital Times. He cited examples, such as the fact that a fetuses head is too large for the birth canal and the fact that many people have jaws that are too small to permit the growth of their wisdom teeth.
Intelligent design is the theory that individual species are too complex to have evolved randomly through evolution and therefore evolution must be guided by an intelligent designer, typically God.
